McQuade Fall Foliage Bike Tour
Starting from Brotherhood Winery
Summer's only just begun, but here at McQuade Children's Services we're already planning for the 2008 Fall Foliage Bike Tour. We're not looking to rush through summer or see the glow of autumn's colors just yet, but after 19 years, we know that planning an event of this size takes time. We also know that we want to give our sponsors plenty of time to be recognized for their support on our posters, fliers, and other promotional literature.
So, mark your calendar The 2008 Fall Foliage Bike Tour
will be held on Sunday, October 5.

Once again, the Bike Tour will head out from Brotherhood Winery in Washingtonville , NY . We'll finish up there too with lunch, live music, and time to catch up with fellow cyclists. In between, riders will enjoy the scenic views of our beautiful Orange County countryside on marked routes of 15, 25, 40, and 50 miles that traverse Washingtonville, Blooming Grove, Cornwall , and New Windsor. Hundreds of riders both recreational and hard-core turn out from across the tri-state area for this popular event.
The 2008 Fall Foliage Bike Tour will benefit McQuade Children's Services and Orange Pathways two Orange County organizations that provide services for children and families. Orange Pathways maintains the County's linear park the Heritage Trail 12 miles of converted railroad bed that runs from Goshen to Monroe . Perfect for biking, walking, rollerblading, and bird-watching, the Trail is a great way for families to enjoy time outdoors together in safe environment with little worry about cars and traffic.
McQuade Children's Services is an accredited, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing therapeutic residential care, emergency shelter services, group homes, special education, and community-based prevention programs to special-needs children and their families. From six different locations throughout Orange County , McQuade provides services to children from more than 13 New York counties. In the past year, McQuade has helped care for more than 3,000 children.
Each year, the Fall Foliage Tour raises funds to support the operational needs and special projects of these two organizations so that families throughout our region can grow, prosper, and build rich, healthy relationships.
The success of the Tour depends on the generous support from our event sponsors, and the donation of time and talent from countless volunteers.
